Is AIExcel free?
Yes. While the alpha is running, signed-in users get 10 AI requests and a small daily budget, and guests can try a few requests per day. No payment details are requested.
Do you store my spreadsheet?
The workbook is processed in your browser. Import and export run in memory, and the backend only receives the chat history it needs to answer.
Does it work with Google Sheets?
AIExcel works with .xlsx and .xlsm files, which Google Sheets can export and import. Download your sheet as .xlsx, edit it with AI and upload it back.
Which models power the assistant?
Requests are served by hosted large language models with a fast tier for everyday edits and a stronger reasoning tier for complex formulas and analysis.
What happens when I reach the daily limit?
The editor tells you when your free requests or daily budget are used up and asks you to come back the next day. The allowance resets every day at 00:00 UTC.
